CSV to Dashboard
Section titled “CSV to Dashboard”Load a CSV-style file, review its transform plan, and create a dashboard widget from the resulting governed source.
- Open Data Fabric and create a file area.
- Upload a CSV file with a date, category, and numeric measure.
- Review the transform plan and correct field names, types, and units.
- Run the load and wait for the job to finish.
- Open Dashboards and create a dashboard.
- Add a widget.
- Select the file area as the source.
- Choose a line or bar chart.
- Select the numeric measure and the date or category dimension.
- Preview and save.
Common mistakes
Section titled “Common mistakes”Do not skip the transform review. A wrong type in the source will show up later as missing chart options, bad sorting, or failed filters.
Do not use production data for a first learning run unless your organization has approved that workflow.
