Dashboard Collections
Section titled “Dashboard Collections”Overview
Section titled “Overview”Collections organize dashboards into business areas. Use them for teams, products, customers, or operational domains. Groups provide another level of structure inside a collection.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”A dashboard belongs to a collection. Collections and groups affect navigation and ownership, not the underlying data source. A dashboard can be moved or reordered without changing its widgets.
Step-by-step
Section titled “Step-by-step”- Open the dashboard area.
- Create a collection with a business-friendly name.
- Create groups when a collection contains many dashboards.
- Add dashboards to the right group.
- Drag items to reorder them.
- Use blueprints or approved templates when a dashboard should be reused.
Common mistakes
Section titled “Common mistakes”Do not create one collection per chart. Collections should organize dashboards, not individual widgets.
Do not put tenant-specific operational dashboards in a shared collection unless your organization wants all assigned users to see them.
