Android App
Section titled “Android App”Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Rokks Android app is a native mobile companion for users who need to check dashboards, alerts, and workspace state away from the desktop. It is designed as a focused viewer, not a full administration or dashboard-authoring client.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”On first launch, the app asks for the Rokks server URL supplied by your organization. After the server is confirmed, you sign in, choose the allowed environment and tenant scope, and land in the mobile shell. The shell has three main areas: dashboards, alerts, and settings.
The mobile app uses native Android screens. It is not a web view. Dashboard data is retrieved from the same platform boundary as the web app and rendered with mobile-friendly cards, charts, tables, filters, and cached fallback states.
Step-by-step
Section titled “Step-by-step”- Install the app from your organization’s approved distribution channel.
- Enter the Rokks application URL provided by your administrator.
- Sign in with one of the methods enabled for your server.
- Select the environment and tenant you intend to view.
- Open Dashboard to browse available dashboards.
- Open Alerts to review notification events.
- Open Settings to change server, tenant, or sign-in state.
Common mistakes
Section titled “Common mistakes”Do not expect the Android app to replace the desktop experience. Create data sources, edit dashboards, manage schemas, and perform administration from the web app.
Do not troubleshoot missing data without checking environment and tenant scope. The mobile app follows the same isolation model as the web app.
